New Student Government Association Elected
The student body of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) this week elected their representatives to form the new Student Government Association.
The student body of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) this week elected their representatives to form the new Student Government Association.
After the votes were counted and results verified, Dr. Lee ‘Rusty’ Waller, dean of student services and enrollment management, revealed the new officers to faculty, staff and students.
Mohammed Al Zaabi will be the new president, supported by Abdullahi Lawal (vice-president), Babukura Muhammad (secretary), Reggy Abdulmalik (treasurer), and Sana Sy (head of AURAK ambassadors).
Dr. Rusty congratulated the new SGA leadership, emphasizing the important role they play in terms of student life and liaising between the student body and the university administration.
