Yasmeen Hibrawi, Public Affairs Officer, Laura Haugen, Associate Public Affairs Officer and Hala Hashim, Cultural Affairs Specialist, made up the group from the Consulate.
They were accompanied by speaker Philip Harding, the co-founder of ImpactJunkie, an organization that inspires and empowers entrepreneurs around the world. Mr. Harding’s website describes him as a serial social entrepreneur, global speaker, and adventurous doer. He was formerly a senior advisor in the US federal government. He also takes part in the State Department's U.S. Speakers Program.
Mr. Harding met with the university’s President, Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, and talked with students about "Creative Entrepreneurs."
AURAK wants students to understand the importance of entrepreneurship, prepare them for the world of work, and open them up to new ideas, including opening their own businesses.
The delegation and Mr. Harding then took a tour around the AURAK campus.
