Your Life is More Important Than Your Call

RAK Police gave a lecture, open to the public, at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah.  The lecture was entitled, ‘Your Life is More Important than Your Call’.  Several students attended the one-hour lecture, as well as staff and faculty members.

Lieutenant Mohammed Obaid, a RAK police official, warned of the dangers of using a mobile phone while driving.  Students were advised to stop using social media, such as Snapchat, while driving, and to avoid chatting on the phone because one second can cost them their lives.  In addition to that, he explained the list of penalties and fines that will be imposed on those who violate the safety regulations.

At the end of the lecture, Dr. Renford Brevett , the dean of student affairs, thanked Lieutenant Mohammed Obaid for his time, and presented him with an AURAK trophy as a token of appreciation to RAK Police, recognizing the entity for the lecture and the valuable work they carry out.
