A Busy Summer for AURAK Interns!

AURAK is looking forward to hearing about the experiences of our students returning from their summer industry internships. The industry internship is integral to all undergraduate programs of study, enabling students to gain ‘on-the-job’ experience, and apply what they’ve learned in the workplace. We are indebted to the employers who host our interns and share their expertise with the next generation.

AURAK proudly boasts that 220 students were found internships this summer.  A truly fantastic result that would not be possible without industry partners who are willing to mentor these young professionals and add real-life work experience to the students’ academic journeys.

So, who benefits from the internship experience?  It is a mutually beneficial relationship where the student gets practical insight into their chosen profession and employers get the fresh perspective and enthusiasm that the AURAK students bring with them.

AURAK’s intern Mohab reported, “I gained different skills in my internship period, I learned how to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.  I enjoyed doing my internship at ECG in Dubai, where they cared about the work place environment and challenged me to try complementary, yet alternate disciplines in my field.”
